Belgium: Het Nieuwsblad reinforces weekend edition with sports magazine

Het Nieuwsblad is the sports newspaper in Flanders and accentuates that with the launch of a brand new sports magazine Fan!. On top of the usual sportsnews, the readers of het Nieuwsblad will receive glossy magazine every Saturday as from mid March.This new sports magazine Fan! will closely follow all the whereabouts of our sports heroes, give a glimps behind the top-sports scenes and feature all the stories and information that can’t be read elsewhere.

The new sports magazine sympathize with the sportsmen and their fans. It reinforces Het Nieuwsblad as indispensable sports newspaper and enriches the weekend newspaper issue. At the same occasion the Saturday newspaper and sports section will be restyled.
With the Weekend supplement, Het Nieuwsblad Magazine, Sportwereld sports section and the new sports magazine Fan!, Het Nieuwsblad is the most complete newspaper for the whole family.

Het Nieuwsblad is the only newsbrand to feature a Sunday issue for the readers who want to follow closely all the news and sports events 7 on 7. As from mid March the Sunday issue will be entirely digital with a specific tablet and PC version, which will free of charge for all subscribers. The Sunday edition will no longer be published in printed version.

With these new initiatives Het Nieuwsblad is, more than ever, the newspaper that appeals to everyone in Flanders for information.

FAN ! will be printed on an A4-format (mm 297x 210 or 11 11/16 x 8 1/4" depth x width) and will be inserted in Het Nieuwsblad together with Het Nieuwsblad Magazine. As a result the format of Het Nieuwsblad Magazine will change to an A4 –format, the same as FAN!
