Corelio news sites take the lead
The CIM publishes every six months reach figures and profile figures for the Belgian websites. CIM published the new Metriprofiledata for the period November 2010 to april 2011. Good news because the Belgium news sites continue to grow by 6% versus the third quarter of 2010. All the new sites combined reach on a monthly basis now more than 5 million Belgians. There is a strong growth for French-speaking news sites; of up to about 13% from Q3/2010. More women are finding their way to online news. The Corelio news sites remain the absolute leader.
The Corelio news sites reach (Standaard.be – nieuwsblad.be – lavenir.net) combined monthly basis 2.939.650 individues. That means almost 1/3rd of the Belgians population!
